OK it was more obvious with a T9 keypad but now... you got 4x the number of keys to choose from to COPY and PASTE.
To operate COPY and PASTE on the E71, press and hold the UP ARROW (also known as the SHIFT key on the bottom row of the keypad, second from the left).
Also, to SILENCE your E71, press J or # and hold it down for 1 second. This will toggle between silent mode and general mode.
